Original Irish Landscape Painting - "What a Distinguished Stranger!" - Forthill Park Enniskillen
Details
An original painting inspired by a scene from Oscar Wilde's Happy Prince Tale set with the backdrop of modern day Enniskillen.
This painting is the scene where the swallow flys around the town, visiting the local monuments and wherever he went the local sparrows would comment on the distinguished swallow.
I’ve set this scene in Forthill Park with the swallow flying over the bandstand, Cole’s Monument, the inspiration for the tale in the background whilst a group of sparrows chatter about their visitor from a nearby holly tree.
When I was taking reference photos for this back at the end of July I also enjoyed watching the swallows fly over the Park.
A beautiful statement piece professionally framed and ready to hang.
Canvas size 40cm x 50cm plus frame.
