Original Irish Landscape Acrylic Painting – Wild Atlantic Way Wildflowers Donegal
Details
This stunning painting is inspired by the beautiful flowers and butterflies along the walk at the back of Portnoo Pier. When walking to the shop we always continue on down to the pier first for a wander around. This lovely scene in June this year was just full of beautiful wild flowers including Burnet Rose, also known as Scotch Rose, Wild Thyme, Red Clover, Field Scabious, Bird’s Foot Trefoil and Sea Campion amongst others. There were several Painted Lady butterflies which were enjoying the Wild Thyme and Red Clover so of course I had to include one in my painting. The sea was a gorgeous blue colour and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. A stunning, tranquil scene from the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal.
