I live near the beautiful island town of Enniskillen which has provided the inspiration for several of my paintings. I thought I’d feature a few here which are available as limited edition Giclee prints.
I love the amazing 360 degree view you get from the top of Cole’s Monument in Forthill Park. I’ve painted a few sections of this stunning view and first up I thought I’d feature my ‘View from Cole’s Monument Part 2’. The section of Enniskillen the painting features includes the old Forum building which is now currently being redeveloped, the Town Hall, Fermanagh House, the old BT building and Enniskillen Castle all with the backdrop of Belmore Mountain.
Secondly I’d like to feature my Northern Lights collection which is three different views of Enniskillen with the backdrop of the Northern Lights. I’ve been lucky to see the Northern Lights a few times since moving here and they always amaze and fascinate me. I also love painting them, blending all the stunning colours is such fun! Firstly there’s ‘Love’ including the Heart of Enniskillen and Enniskillen Castle.
Next up is ‘Faith’ and ‘Hope’ which both include three of Enniskillen’s churches along with the Castle. 
They also each feature a Mute Swan on Lough Erne along with the constellation Cygnus in the sky to represent the swans.
Finally I’m featuring my most popular painting of Enniskillen inspired by Oscar Wilde’s Happy Prince tale. This painting went viral and was featured in The Fermanagh Herald.
This is another view from the top of Cole’s Monument looking down onto the town featuring Church Street and Water Street. It’s believed that Oscar Wilde got the inspiration for the prince from Cole’s Monument as he spent 7 years in Enniskillen at Portora School where he could see the monument from his dormitory window.
The view of the painting is from the top of Cole’s Monument so it is in the perspective of the Happy Prince. There are three swallows flying around the town in tribute to the tale as it was a swallow that helped the prince. I wanted to create a painting which is a tribute to the creativity of Enniskillen both past and present.
